RESUME

  • Principal Product Management

    2021 - 2023

Ultraviolet connects disparate data via a knowledge graph for engineers that are impacted by design changes or a parts that are to be recalled or replaced. Engineers could see and understand the implications of the change and think of recommendations to adjust. I led three platform and infrastructure engineering teams, leading feature development in Kafka, authentication, and developer experience and toolkits. I also managed our technical writer and their output: support documentation, release notes and implementation documents. I mentored many product owners and provided guidance to managing backlogs and team ceremonies.

  • Product Operations Manager

    2021

Granicus offers digital civic engagement tools for government. I organize the product and engineering teams review of each product's challenges being considered for annual roadmap. I support a team of product owners executing work on these civic engagement tools. I am working to elevate the work completed across our 14 scrum teams so their sprint work is accessible across all levels of the organization. I also lead cross-functional teams to mitigate escalations - teams comprise of stakeholders from platform engineering, infrastructure engineering, security, sales and support.

  • Product Owner

    2019 - 2021

I gather business requirements from stakeholders and guide the vision of what needs to be built alongside a Product Manager. I define acceptance criteria for stories that convey what needs to be built. I manage the product backlog and prioritize the stories there. These stories deliver roadmap concepts and maintain our products. In the last two years, I'm most proud of the delivery of a 100% cloud-based video controls that allows clerks and council members to broadcast live webcasts while simultaneously recording and archiving the live content of their meetings. I've had a few opportunities to talk about this improvement in a few events: Cheers to Clerk in 2021 and the Clerk Virtual Summit in 2020.

  • Implementation Consultant

    2016 - 2019

I managed multiple implementations of digital communications for federal, state, and local governments in the U.S. and U.K. Each implementation addressed client missions and solved existing challenges with digital solutions like emails, text messages and websites. I was a technical consultant and supported clients pursuing API integrations. During non-technical implementation, I conducted trainings for administrators and consulted on web accessibility and plain language writing. Special projects included presenting at the 2018 Granicus National Summit and contributing to the Granicus blog.

  • Product Manager

    2013 - 2015

Evangelist and know-it-all for a hybrid Real Estate, email marketing and customer relationship management (CRM) tool. I coordinated schedules for product enhancements and features, composed requirement documentation, drafted user experience screens and kept up-to-date documentation of competitors. I also had additional experiences with application testing, client training, customer support and reporting on release quality. I managed 2 to 6-week sprints in collaboration with Developers, QA and other stakeholders to accomplish release goals. I on-boarded several accounts and users to the application and coordinated the migration of clients from Salesforce.com to this proprietary application.

  • Social Media Marketing Associate

    2013 - 2014

Hill Museum & Manuscript Library digitally preserves ancient handwritten materials for scholarship use. I executed a project that exploited its social media to contribute to an upcoming $16 million capital campaign. Engagement targeted prospective and past HMML scholars, nearby undergraduate and graduate students and potential and existing donors. We attained 384.8K impressions and 190 followers within a 6-month Twitter lifetime, and increased engagement activity on their Facebook fan page by 179.4K and increased page likes by 366 people. HMML also initiated a presence on YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Google+ as well as online donation platforms like GiveMN, Razoo and FundRazr. I used social media scheduling and data analysis platforms like HootSuite, SproutSocial and SumAll to report on engagement success.

  • Irma Wyman Internship in Development

    Summer 2013

Irma Wyman Internships in Development focus on seeking financial resources to support manuscript preservation, research and education. Interns complete grant applications for Minnesota-based foundations alongside the Director of Development, research and compile data on corporate foundations, and assist in the design and maintenance of campaign records. Instead of strictly following traditional resources for donations, I leveraged social media to grow manuscript preservation awareness. In turn, the pool for possible individual donations grew and unique engagement with existing donors was reported.

  • Bachelor of Arts

    2013

Majored in Leadership Management and English Language at the College of Saint Benedict in Saint Joseph, Minnesota.

  • Event & Strategic Planning Internship

    Spring 2013

I volunteered with United Cerebral Palsy of Central Minnesota (UCP-CM) during a critical financial turn in the organization. I planned fundraising events and activities for individuals with disabilities and performed cold calls for sponsorships and donations for events. I also assisted the Executive Director with fundraising events like a stationary bike race and golf tourney. A personal project developed to address UCP-CM’s upcoming loss of $50,000 of funding. I composed a comprehensive strategic analysis of UCP-CM’s internal and external environment and provided recommendations to prepare for the 15% loss of United Way of Central Minnesota.

  • Student Coordinator

    2012 - 2013

Student Coordinators co-supervise nine Career Assistants and lead weekly trainings related to graduate school, career exploration and tools and resources available to undergraduate walk-ins. We're tasked with assessing a select group of Career Assistants progress through each semester and together we set objectives for the Assistants growth. As a group, we aid the Career Services Associate Director with hiring prospective Career Assistants and Student Coordinators.

  • Career Assistant

    2011 - 2013

Career Assistants are paraprofessionals that help students explore options with various majors, critique resumes, cover letters and interviews and leverage resources available to students and alumni. Assistants plan on-campus Career Exploration Seminars that host a panel of 5 to 8 alumni each month. I also maintained the department’s website through the graphic user interface, Ingeniux, contributed articles to a bi-monthly online newsletter, CareerBuzz, and used social media to connect with individuals and various clubs and organizations on-campus.

  • No Label; Pure Promise

    2008 - 2009

I am a co-founder of “No Label; Pure Promise,” a non-profit organization composed of only young women working to benefit Bahamian youth shelters. I spearheaded efforts to raise funds for local orphanages by identifying needs, recruiting volunteers and planning several fundraising activities which raised $4,700 in 3 months. Our funds came from the sale of promotional materials which were printed on 400 T-shirts. We also advocated for orphanages' needs to key players in the local area procuring additional funds and physical donations for shelters.
